Taxacorest is an extract of lung (specifically bronchial) peptides from young calves and pigs. This may help improve general lung function and also in conditions such as asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), bronchitis, cough (icluding smokers' cough), mucus production, other lung or bronchial diseases. We know that the lung tissue can initiate an effective immune response following exposure to infective agents, and that this response is mediated by secific peptide regulators. In any case, reserach is slowly unravelling the details of the immune response in the lungs which is an essential process that reduces the likelihood of lung problems. For mild symptoms or for prevention of lung symptoms the dose is one capsule a day, and this is increased to two capsules a day for other conditions. It is a short course of a month and thi may be repeated in 3-6 months intervals.
